Beverley Literature Festival 2008
We're in the thick of programming the festival and can't announce anything yet, but keep the 2nd-12th October free as we'll be offering an intimate and picquant feast of fine writing, performances and participatory events in the beautiful East Riding of Yorkshire. Until then, we have some wonderful events for readers to help celebrate the National Year of Reading. Our full programme will be launched in late April and we'll let you know all about it then. But for now, take a look at this - it's highly recommended.
East Riding Readers' Day 08, 17 May, Beverley
If you love reading, talking and listening to other people discuss books then you'll find our Readers' Day a tonic for your imagination. It combines small and large group discussions with authors, good food, great company and a free book, all for £12. A bargain.
Authors taking part this year are: Clare Morrall (author of Booker Prize short-listed novel Astonishing Splashes of Colour); Andrew Martin (Jim Springer steam detective novels); Karen Maitland and the much praised Gregory Norminton (author of The Ship of Fools).
To for more details and to book a place either download a leaflet at www.bevlit.org or ring 01482 392706 and we'll arrange to have a leaflet sent out to you.
All our events are funded by East Riding Library Service and Arts Council England, Yorkshire. |
