Poetry Tutorials in association with Spread the Word
The Poetry School has joined forces with Spread the Word (our neighbours in Lambeth Walk) to set up a series of drop in one-to-one sessions for writers looking for some in-depth feedback on their work. Daljit Nagra, Saradha Soobrayen or Tim Dooley will spend an hour with you, looking at a 90 line selection of your poems.
Venue: the Poetry School classroom, 81 Lambeth Walk, London SE11 6DX
Dates: Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th July
Times: hour long sessions, to suit
Fee: £70 (£50 concs)

Poetry School Garden Party in Manchester
To raise funds for the Poetry School Bursary Fund - an afternoon of poetry, music, wine and food. There will be a poetry quiz and readings by the illustrious tutors of the Poetry School Manchester and others including Carol Ann Duffy, Grevel Lindop, Alicia Stubbersfield, John Siddique, Ann Sansom, Matthew Welton, John McAuliffe, Linda Chase, James Davies, Vona Groarke. The aim of the day is to celebrate poetry in the lovely garden setting of the Manchester School.
Poetry Book Stall
If you have any second hand poetry books to donate, please ring Keith on 01606 301 647 so that collection can be arranged. Poets, might you contribute new signed copies of your books?
Auction
Bid on unusual lots which might include a meal out with a well known poet, tuition in writing poetry for children, a marked-up proof copy of a new book, tuition in writing haiku or a postal critique on your own poems by tutors from the Poetry School.
What if it rains?
If the weather looks iffy, please bring an umbrella to use between the various covered spaces. But, of course, the sun always shines in Manchester!

A follow-up session for students on Graham's Autumn 2007 Poetry & Autobiography course in London and the online version from www.poetryschool.com. A day of close reading, feedback and discussion of poems you have written or begun inspired by the first half of both these courses.
