The V.S.Pritchett Prize for short stories

Entries continue to be accepted for the 2008 V.S. Pritchett Prize for short stories. The VS Pritchett Memorial Prize is a prize of £1,000 for an unpublished short story.

Entries must be between 2,000 and 5,000 words in length.

The entry fee is £5.

Entrants must be citizens of the UK or the Republic of Ireland.

Stories entered for the competition must not have been published previously, or broadcast in any other medium.

The author’s identity or contact details must not appear on any entry but be supplied on a separate cover sheet. The title should appear on each page. Pages should be numbered and securely fastened together.

Multiple entries are permitted, but a separate entry form must be filled in and attached to each story. The entry form may be photocopied.
